  • Reserved PRM Drop and Pick Up Zone: PRM friendly designated PRM drop and pick up zones available at both Departures and arrivals.
  • PRM Lounges: Relax and wait for your flight in a comfortable environment at our dedicated PRM lounges available at the earmarked pick-up & drop-off points at arrival & departure.
  • Information and Help Desks: Get assistance from our friendly staff at our information desks located at the Departures and Arrival halls.
  • PRM Washrooms: Accessible washrooms conveniently located throughout the terminal with clear indication of the signages.
  • PRM Assistance: Approach our passenger associates spread throughout the Terminal Building for any assistance needed and for requirement for buggies.
  • Public Announcement System and Signage: Stay informed with our visual and audio announcements, as well as signage throughout the terminal in both English, Hindi and Telugu.
  • PRM-friendly elevators: Our elevators are PRM friendly and as well and are also enabled for Braille.
  • Separate Security Check Lane: Skip the queues and enjoy a faster security screening experience with dedicated security check lane.
  • Pre-Embarkation Security Check Area (PESC): Passengers requiring special assistance can avail of dedicated lane.
  • Low-height features: Easily accessible drinking fountains throughout the terminal.
  • PRM Seating: Dedicated PRM seating is available across all areas of the terminal, including boarding gates and the food court.
  • Emigration Area: Low height dedicated Emigration counter for PRM convenience.

Guidelines for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) at Hyderabad airport

GHIAL is committed to ensuring a smooth and comfortable departure experience for all passengers, including those with reduced mobility (PRM). Here's a detailed guide to navigate the departure process at our airport:

Before Your Departure:

  • Contact Your Airline: It's crucial to inform your airline at least 48 hours before your flight departure about your PRM requirements. This allows them to make the necessary arrangements for assistance throughout your journey.
  • Prepare Your Documents: Ensure you have all your valid travel documents, including your passport, visa (if required), boarding pass (which can be obtained online in most cases), and any medical documentation needed.
  • Plan Your Arrival Time to the airport: We recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before your international flight and 2 hours before your domestic flight. This allows ample time for the check-in process, security screening, and any additional assistance you might require.

Upon Arrival at GHIAL reaching the airport:

  • Reserved PRM Drop and Pick Up Zone: PRM friendly designated PRM drop and pick up zones available at both Departures and arrival.
  • Dedicated entry gate for PRM at departures
  • Information and Help Desks: Get assistance from our friendly staff at our information desks located at the Departures and Arrival halls.

Check-in:

  • Online Check-in: If you've checked in online and don't have any checked baggage, proceed directly to the security screening area.
  • Check-in Counter: If you have checked baggage or require assistance with the check-in process, head to the dedicated PRM lane at the check-in counter. Our staff will be happy to assist you with checking in your luggage and obtaining your boarding pass.

PRM Assistance:

  • PRM Lounges: Relax and wait for your flight in a comfortable environment at our dedicated PRM lounges available at the ramp area in both Departures and Arrivals.
  • Buggies and Other Needs: Our staff is available to provide assistance with Buggies or any other support you may need to navigate the terminal.

Boarding:

  • Boarding Gates: Dedicated PRM seating is available at all boarding gates. Our staff will be happy to assist you in boarding the aircraft.
  • Priority Boarding: In many cases, PRM passengers are offered priority boarding. This allows you to board the aircraft before the general queue, ensuring a more comfortable boarding experience.

Hyderabad International Airport has a dedicated waiting area for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) that caters to special needs in terms of seating and phone facilities. The departure passengers can relax in the waiting areas till the pre-booked help arrives. The arrival passengers can sit back at the dedicated area at Arrivals, Departures and wait to be picked up by their friends/relatives or till they hail a cab.
